I had a delightful stay at Hotel Goryukan, enjoying the spacious family room which offered breathtaking views of the snow-covered mountains. The breakfast buffet was a true highlight, featuring a variety of delicious options, including both Western and Japanese dishes. The onsen experience was wonderfully relaxing after a day on the ski slopes.
Laundry facilities could be improved.

Open foyer, communal onsen, large drying room, laundry facilities
A little pricey for the offerings!!! The check-out time is annoyingly early!!! Also, wish there were private onsens available for couples instead of just communal ones!!!

The outdoor onsen at Hotel Goryukan was a fantastic way to unwind after a day on the slopes, providing a serene atmosphere and beautiful views.
The beds in our room were too firm, leading to discomfort throughout our stay, which could use some attention.

the only somewhat admirable thing about this hotel was the onsen, although you’d think they’d enforce some proper etiquette. the room was certainly well-worn, showing little care. i also expected a complimentary upgrade for enduring the absurdity of waiting for service in such a rundown establishment, but alas, nothing. overall, i just couldn’t recommend this place.
